Cherry jam with mint 210 gr

Cherries, also called superfruits have many properties such as diuretics, anticancer, regenerating, anti-inflammatory, energizing.

Studies have shown that cherries are among the top 20 foods richest in antioxidants, which protect cells from the negative action of free radicals. The antioxidants we find in cherries are called anthocyanins and have the role of reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer. Anthocyanins are also good for the brain and improve memory. A simple cup of cherries contains over 4,000 antioxidants.

In addition to antioxidants, cherries are true packages of vitamins and minerals, containing vitamins from the B group (B1, B2, B3, B6), vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin E, but also minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium and potassium. Beta carotene and melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep cycles, are also found in cherries.

For the jam I used only cherries, fresh garden mint, sugar, lemon juice.

It can be served with toast or biscuits, as a topping for ice cream and cakes or simply as such.

Sweet cherry jam with mint

I look forward to his cherry moon every year, as if I don't even know how to say it, but what a beautiful feeling you can have when you see the cherry trees, like real jewels and not. And as they are so tiny, beautiful, they seemed a bit "shy". So I told myself not to leave them alone in jam. I sprinkled them with a little mint, a refreshment, enough to give them the courage to spread their aroma even better.

Remember the taste of childhood, with the jams of the Chamber of Nature

Peach jam with mint

I always imagined that making jam is very complicated. As the first attempt was successful, my momentum was stopped only by the amount of sugar in the pantry. Here is an original recipe for jam, mint gives it a cool summer evening taste.

Ingredient:
1 kg of peeled peaches
800g old
a big mint tie
peel and juice from a lemon

Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. To make it easier to peel the peach peel, it is enough to dip them in boiling water for a few minutes. Cut the peaches into quarters and place them covered with sugar in the pan in which you intend to make the jam. Sprinkle over the peaches the peel and juice of the lemon and finely chopped mint.

You will be amazed to see that the peaches will leave a lot of juice. Let the peaches sit with the sugar for about 2 hours and mix gently from time to time. At the end the syrup is already formed and the sugar is dissolved.

Put the pan to boil. When it starts to boil, turn on the heat slowly. Stir occasionally. When you start to feel that the liquid is becoming more viscous, start the test with a drop. To do this, put a saucer in the freezer and take out a little syrup. Put the saucer back in the freezer for 1-2 minutes and if the drop is sticky and sticky, it means that the jam has been made.

Apricot jam with mint & # 8211 a light, very tasty recipe, to everyone's taste

Apricot jam reminds me of childhood. Ever since I discovered this apricot jam recipe with mint, I make it every year. I love it. In addition, it contains less sugar than classic recipes.

Ingredients for 15 300 ml jars:

  • 4 kg very ripe apricots, juice from 2 oranges
  • Lemon juice, 800 g of gelling sugar
  • 20 gr citric acid, 3 sprigs of mint
  • 2 tablespoons rum (optional)

Method of preparation:

Wash the apricots under a stream of cold water. We also wash the mint sprigs. Cut the apricots in half and remove the seeds. We check that the fruits do not have black spots.

Cut the apricots into small pieces about 2-3 millimeters thick. Drain the juice from two oranges and pour it over the sliced apricots.

Squeeze a lemon and pour the juice obtained over the apricots, so that the fruits do not oxidize. Then add citric acid, mint leaves and cook the apricots at low temperature. Stir more often at the beginning so that the fruit does not stick to the bottom of the bowl.

Leave the mint in the apricot bowl until it starts to boil. Then we set it aside, because otherwise the apricot jam will have too strong a mint taste.

Cook the jam for 30 minutes on low heat, stirring frequently. Then add the gelling sugar.

Sterilize the jars in the preheated oven at 100 degrees for 10 minutes. When the jam is ready, we can add 2 tablespoons of rum (optional). We immediately pour the hot jam into jars. We screwed the lids well.

Cover the jars with a blanket or a thicker towel and let them cool completely. The next day, we store the jars of jam in the pantry or cellar. Good appetite and increase cooking!

Cherries are for us real ruby treasures in summer. The more beautiful they are, the healthier they are. We love the cherry moon!

Of the various varieties of cherries, we used for this type of jam a Romanian one with the most attractive qualities. With dark red to black fruits, glossy, with semi-stony pulp. Bad spot!

We wash them of dust and the remains of flowers and we remove the seeds patiently, tasting them fresh.

We boil them in small batches with lemon slices and helped by mint to enhance their flavor.

A sweetness of sweetness is this cherry jam and not to be missed!

Cherry jam with crispy texture and authentic aroma.

Contains: Red cherries, lemon and finely chopped garden mint, all with minimal added sugar.

The product may contain seeds.
Cherries, the fruits of Ciresar, fully deserve the reputation of fruits of youth because they have a high content of vitamin C and a significant amount of bioflavonoids, antioxidants that have the role of lowering cholesterol and improving blood circulation by dilating small arteries.

From cherries, the body has nothing to gain because, due to their composition, they strengthen the immune system and delay aging. Cherries contain water, sugars, mineral salts such as phosphorus, calcium, magnesium and iron, provitamin A with the role of maintaining tissues and maintaining visual acuity, B vitamins and dietary fiber.

The dietary fibers in the composition of cherries are effective in preventing the appearance of gastric or colon cancer. The largest amount of vitamins is contained in very well ripened cherries, which have reached maturity.

Do not throw away cherry tails if you are prone to urinary tract infections and kidney stones. Due to the high content of potassium and flavonoids, cherry tails have strong diuretic effects. They also have astringent and antidiuretic properties, due to their rich tannin content, they are depurative, anti-febrile and renal anti-inflammatory.

Cherry tail tea is also recommended in cases of cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, hypertension, edema, in metabolic disorders such as obesity, gout, uremia - by promoting the urinary elimination of uric acid and other nitrogen compounds.

When the jam syrup glazes the spoon, add finely chopped mint.

Leave for a few more minutes, drip a few drops of syrup on a cold plate, if it flows hard, the jam is ready.

Set aside and fill the jars, close and turn them upside down. Cover with towels and let cool.
